Mission in Africa

Whatever you will be told, you are needed on mission. God does not have problems with material recourses, He supplies in a degree of demand. But God will not force anyone! Any decision of a person – is an act of his/her personal will. That is why dedicated workers, are the main part of any action. And we are in a great need of workers, who said Yes to God, applying to him/herself the Great Commission (Mark 16:15)

 
 
 

Long-term Mission from 3 months and up

Just like in any military, recruit must meet the requirements.

Spiritual Requirements

  1. You need to love the Lord and be faithful to him.
  2. You must be a member of an evangelical church for at least 2 year
  3. You need to have a calling from God to be on mission, firm conviction to serve people

Moral Requirements

  1. You cannot leave children who cannot take care of themselves
  2. One of the spouses cannot be on mission for more than 3 weeks
  3. If you have problems with government, you cannot participate
  4. Debt that you have and cannot pay off, will negatively affect mission
  5. To keep high level of attention on the ministry to which God has called you, during the time of mission you are prohibited to flirt and to date with the missionary members, local volunteers and mission guests.
  6. Bad habits: smoking, alcohol, drugs, ludomania (addiction to gambling) – are prohibited.

 Health Requirements

  1. Advised to avoid going on mission those who are HIV-positive, have tuberculosis and have hepatitis  B and C
  2. The general status of health must be in norm with the consideration of allergy reactions

General Requirements

  1. Over 20 years of age
  2. Filled out an application by the pastor of your church
  3. Missionary must find financial sponsor for the time being on mission
  4. Communication skills and adaptation for the new environment

Professional Requirements

  1. Medical training – it’s hard to heal souls, without healing body
  2. Pedagogical training
  3. Experience with bad-behavior children, orphans, street kids
  4. Maximum informed about mission:
  1. Ideal version – missionary school
  2. Alternative version – self-education. Includes reading number of accessible books about mission and ministry, practical evangelism, training aids. Also books about Kenya and other eastern countries of Africa. Obligated to write notes about the read material and write down the main points. Enlightened means armed! You are needed here in the full armor.

 

Short Missionary Tour up to 21 days

If for any reason you are not able to participate in the long-term mission – you have an opportunity to serve in short-term missionary tours.

General Missionary Tour

Length: 8-21 days (depending on the time of a year)

Group size: 7-20 people

Cost: $50 per day + flight. The donations are going toward your housing, groceries, transportation, and also support of the mission work.

We will meet you at Nairobi airport and we will take you back there.

Purpose

To help missionaries in their work, to support them in all possible ways, to get to know more about the missionary works and experience it. To see the life and the way of living of the local people, cultural and social principles of the society. Getting familiar with the wilderness, colorful local traditions. Regular fruit ethereal will tie everything you have seen and experienced.

Requirements for the Participants:

  • 18 years of age
  • Moral purity, confession of Christian volues
  • For the tour time prohibited flirt and dating with the mission members, local volunteers and mission guests
  • Prohibited usage of alcohol and drugs
  • Advised to avoid going on mission those who are HIV-positive, have tuberculosis and have hepatitis  B and C
  • The general status of health must be in norm with the consideration of allergy reactions
  • Vaccination from yellow fewer
  • Taking medicine for prophylactic from malaria before and during the tour time
